Recently, ditch oil-based biodiesel was officially launched into the society: B5 biodiesel was supplied to two Sinopec gas stations in Shanghai at a price of 5.72 yuan per litre, which is 0.3 yuan cheaper than diesel. This is the first time that biodiesel made from waste cooking oil has entered the terminal sales market of finished oil in China. A week later, how acceptable is the market for this biodiesel with gutter oil? Let's watch CCTV reporters'follow-up interviews. Is the market accepted? Five tons of biodiesel were sold out on the first day of launch. The B5 biodiesel put into the society is a mixture of 5% biodiesel and 95% petroleum diesel. The price is 95% discount on regular diesel, which is 3 cents cheaper per liter. Price concessions have also attracted many drivers to try. Driver Master Ye has come to make biodiesel with ditch oil for the second time this week. "The greatest feature is that there is less fume from the exhaust pipe, which is satisfactory." "According to the mileage of our vehicles in a day, it's about ten dollars cheaper." Shen Tianming, manager of a transportation company, said that according to the company now has 30 vehicles for biodiesel, it saves nearly 9,000 yuan a month and nearly 100,000 yuan a year. On the first day of launch, 5 tons of B5 biodiesel were sold out at two gas stations in Shanghai. In the past week, more than 500 social vehicles have been injected with this kind of biodiesel. At present, only Fengxian Zhuangxing and Pudong Airport are being piloted in Shanghai. Soon, B5 biodiesel will be added to more gas stations.
Is car performance affected? Research shows that emissions of heavy metals and polluted gases are significantly reduced.
It is reported that this B5 biodiesel has been tested on 104 buses in Shanghai since 2013. Many people have questions: Will the performance of a car be affected if it drinks "gutter oil"? At present, 104 buses in Shanghai have used biodiesel, running 15.6072 million kilometers and consuming 5.839 million litres of mixed fuel. "We have studied a variety of diesel engines, in addition to diesel engine bench use, but also running on the vehicle, at present, B5 biodiesel has no impact on the vehicle." According to Lou Diming, a professor at Tongji University's Automobile College, 5% of biodiesel has the same power, economy and emissions as diesel.
The data show that these vehicles use B5 type of "ditch oil" to produce biodiesel blends, and the engine runs normally; the emission of nitrogen oxides is comparable to that of petrochemical diesel; the emission of heavy metals and fine particulates and other polluted gases has been significantly reduced, and the reduction of hydrocarbon, carbon monoxide and particulate matter is more than 10%, which means that the impact on the atmosphere is even smaller. 256 vehicles received and transported "gutter oil" from 3600 to 3700 yuan per ton.
According to the "Measures for the Disposal and Management of Waste Oil from Food and Kitchen in Shanghai", 256 vehicles from 18 enterprises in Shanghai are responsible for the collection and transportation of "gutter oil" in the whole city, all of which are equipped with GPS. CCTV reporters followed a waste oil storage truck to a chafing dish restaurant to learn about the whole process from kitchen waste oil to biodiesel. In the back kitchen of the chafing dish shop, the waste oil is filtered through the oil-water separator and enters the designated collection box. After weighing, the licensed oil recovery personnel input the data into the information system through the store IC card. Staff members said that the current purchase price of waste oils and fats is between 3600 and 3700 yuan per ton. "The original oil can not be received, but now it can be received, solving the problem of oil source." In the technical workshop, the old frying oil and ditch oil are collected separately, filtered, heated, greased and distilled, and then blended with ordinary diesel oil in proportion to become B5 biodiesel which can be purchased at the gas station.
